Electronic Acceptance
By creating an account, verifying an OTP, clicking an acceptance checkbox, submitting a referral/application, or continuing to use a service after being presented with the applicable terms, the User agrees to the applicable Terms and incorporated notices. KaroRefer may retain acceptance evidence including policy version, date/time, account identifier, IP address and user-agent information.
Eligibility, Accuracy and Security
Users must be legally competent to contract and provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge. Impersonation, forged documents, fake qualifications, fraudulent referrals, reward manipulation, credential sharing, unauthorised access and unlawful use are prohibited. Users must protect their registered email/mobile and OTP. KaroRefer may require reauthentication, terminate inactive sessions or restrict suspicious sessions.
Nature of KaroRefer and No Job Guarantee
KaroRefer is a recruitment/referral facilitation platform. Unless expressly stated otherwise, KaroRefer is not the Candidate’s employer and does not make the final hiring decision for participating organisations. Registration, referral, HR contact, interview alignment, selection status or any other activity does not guarantee an interview, selection, salary, joining, continued employment or minimum tenure.
Communications and Platform Records
KaroRefer may send transactional OTP, security, referral, application, interview, joining, reward/payment, ticket and material service communications. Recruitment statuses and milestone records are operational records and may be updated or corrected based on information received from Candidates, Referees, HR teams and organisations, with appropriate audit/history records where available.
Third Parties, Suspension and Intellectual Property
Participating employers and service providers are separate entities. KaroRefer may use hosting, email, messaging, payment and other infrastructure providers. Accounts may reasonably be restricted or suspended for suspected fraud, security compromise, forged or unauthorised information, material breach, unlawful activity, reward manipulation or legal/regulatory requirements. KaroRefer/Onstog branding, software, proprietary workflows, databases and original platform materials remain the property of Onstog or applicable licensors.
Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KaroRefer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from matters outside its reasonable control, including an employer’s independent hiring decision, withdrawal of a vacancy, changes in employer requirements or third-party outages. Nothing excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, a User is responsible for third-party claims and reasonable losses directly resulting from that User’s deliberate fraud, forged documentation, unauthorised submission of another person’s data, unlawful platform use or material breach. This does not protect KaroRefer from liability for its own unlawful conduct.
Governing Law, Grievance and Rewari Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Users are encouraged, where appropriate, to first raise disputes through KaroRefer’s grievance mechanism at Reachout@karorefer.com and provide a reasonable opportunity for investigation and response. This does not remove any statutory remedy that cannot lawfully be restricted.
Subject to applicable law, and provided the courts at Rewari otherwise have jurisdiction under applicable law, the parties agree that courts of competent jurisdiction at Rewari, Haryana shall have exclusive territorial jurisdiction over contractual disputes arising from these Terms, use of KaroRefer, referrals/applications, reward/payment eligibility, recruitment processing, account matters and related platform transactions.
If a User initiates a proceeding elsewhere in relation to a matter validly subject to this jurisdiction clause, KaroRefer may produce the electronic acceptance record and seek such transfer, return, stay or other relief as is available under applicable law. Acceptance does not itself compel any court to transfer a proceeding; procedural decisions remain with the competent court.
Arbitration and Preserved Statutory Rights
Where a dispute is legally capable of arbitration and remains unresolved through the grievance process, it may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended. The tribunal will consist of one arbitrator appointed in accordance with applicable law. The seat and legal place of arbitration will be Rewari, Haryana, India, and proceedings will be in English unless otherwise agreed. Nothing removes access to statutory authorities, consumer forums, criminal courts, employment/labour forums, data-protection authorities or other forums whose jurisdiction cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to Terms
KaroRefer may update these Terms for legal, regulatory, security or operational reasons. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and fresh acceptance obtained where required. The version accepted by a User may be retained as part of the Platform’s audit records.
Candidate Permission
Before submitting another person’s information, a Referee must inform the Candidate and obtain permission to submit the Candidate’s details to KaroRefer for recruitment/referral purposes. By confirming Candidate permission, the Referee represents that the Candidate has been informed that KaroRefer may contact them and process/share relevant information as described in the Privacy Notice.
Referral Information, Job Mapping and Duplicates
The Referee must not knowingly submit false Candidate details, fabricated contact information, forged documents, fake resumes or information obtained unlawfully. A referral submitted through “Refer for this Position” is mapped to the selected Job ID. Where operationally appropriate and consistent with the Candidate’s choices/consent, authorised HR may consider or map the Candidate to another suitable opportunity. KaroRefer may use permitted identifiers such as mobile number and email to identify duplicates; under the current platform rule, a referral may be rejected where the Candidate was already referred/applied within the previous 90 days.
Referral Reward – General
A reward displayed against a job is the maximum potential referral reward for that opportunity and remains subject to eligibility conditions. Referral, interview, selection or joining alone does not automatically create a payment entitlement. A Referral ID is an administrative identifier and does not itself create Candidate ownership, exclusivity or reward entitlement.
45-Day Reward
The first milestone may become eligible only after the Candidate actually joins, a valid joining date is recorded, the Candidate completes at least 45 calendar days of continuous employment, the organisation/authorised HR confirms the milestone and confirms the Candidate remains active, the referral passes duplicate/fraud/eligibility verification, and KaroRefer completes its approval process. Completion of 45 days alone does not automatically create a payment entitlement.
Organisation verification may take up to 10 Working Days after completion of the 45-day milestone. “Working Day” means Monday to Friday and excludes Saturdays and Sundays; applicable public/bank holidays may also affect processing where the relevant office, organisation or payment provider is not operational.
The Candidate must remain actively employed with the relevant organisation when the reward payment is actually released. If the Candidate resigns, absconds, is terminated or otherwise becomes inactive before payment release, the unpaid 45-day reward may be treated as Not Eligible, unless KaroRefer expressly approves an exception.
After successful organisation confirmation and internal approval, eligible payments are generally processed between the 15th and 30th day of a calendar month. This is a normal processing window, not a guaranteed credit date. Where verification or approval misses the applicable payment cut-off, payment may move to the next available payment cycle.
90-Day Reward
The second milestone is subject to equivalent conditions after completion of 90 calendar days. The Candidate must remain actively employed when the 90-day reward is actually released. Organisation confirmation is mandatory and may take up to 10 Working Days after completion of the 90-day milestone, excluding Saturdays and Sundays, with applicable holidays potentially affecting processing.
After confirmation and internal approval, eligible payments are generally processed between the 15th and 30th day of the applicable calendar-month payment cycle. Completion of 90 days alone does not constitute final payment approval. If the Candidate becomes inactive before payment release, the unpaid 90-day reward may be treated as Not Eligible.
Payment Delays
Payment may reasonably be delayed by employer confirmation, disputed employment information, incorrect payment details, duplicate/fraud investigation, banking/payment-provider disruption, tax/compliance requirements or circumstances outside KaroRefer’s reasonable control. The Referee must provide accurate payment details. Applicable tax, withholding and reporting obligations will be handled according to law.
No Agency and No Candidate Fees
A Referee is not an employee, partner or agent authorised to bind KaroRefer. A Referee must not guarantee employment, salary or reward and must not collect money from Candidates in KaroRefer’s name for obtaining a job/interview unless expressly and lawfully authorised in writing.
